Privacy Notice
This notice explains what personal information My Diversified Agents collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It covers this website and the advisory services we provide — real estate, home loans, credit, insurance and tax.

The short version
We collect what we need to advise you and to place your file with lenders, insurers and tax authorities — no more. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We share it with the companies that have to see it to do the work you asked us to do, and with nobody else except where the law requires it.
If you would like a copy of what we hold, or want it corrected or deleted, call (909) 684-9425 and we will walk you through it.
What we collect
What we hold depends on how far you get with us. Somebody who only uses a calculator on this site leaves almost nothing behind; somebody who applies for a mortgage necessarily shares a great deal more.
When you use this website
- What you type into our forms — your name, phone number, email address, which service you are asking about, how you prefer to be contacted, and anything you write in the message box.
- Nothing from the calculators. The readiness check, affordability estimator, payment calculator, credit timeline, document checklist, coverage projection and tax estimator all run entirely inside your own browser. The figures you enter are never sent to us and never stored.
- Ordinary server records kept by our website host, including the address your device connects from and which pages were requested. These are used to keep the site working and secure.
When you become a client
To advise you and to submit your file, we collect the information the work requires. Depending on the service, that can include:
- Identifiers — legal name, date of birth, address history, phone, email, and a photograph of your government identification.
- Financial information — employment and income history, assets and account balances, debts and monthly obligations, property you own, and your credit report where you authorise us to obtain one.
- Household information — marital status and dependants, where that affects a loan, a policy or a tax return.
- Documents you upload — pay stubs, W‑2s, tax returns, bank statements, and similar records.
- Your Social Security number, which is only ever received as a photograph of your Social Security card. There is no field anywhere in our system to type it into.
Under California law, some of this is sensitive personal information — your Social Security number, your account details, and the contents of your documents. We use it only to deliver the services you asked for and to meet our legal obligations. We do not use or disclose it to infer characteristics about you.
Why we collect it
- To answer your enquiry and advise you.
- To prepare, submit and follow a loan, insurance or tax file on your behalf.
- To verify who you are, and to prevent fraud.
- To meet the record-keeping, licensing and reporting duties that apply to real estate brokerage, mortgage origination, insurance brokerage and tax preparation.
- To contact you about your own file, and — only if you agree — about other services that may be relevant to you.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We have not sold or shared personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising in the preceding twelve months, and we do not intend to.
We disclose information for business purposes to the parties the work requires:
- Lenders, insurers and their underwriters, when you ask us to place your file with them.
- Credit reporting agencies, where you have authorised a credit report or a dispute on your behalf.
- Taxing authorities, where you engage us to prepare a return.
- Escrow, title and settlement companies in a property transaction.
- Service providers that operate our systems — website hosting, secure document storage, email and messaging. They act on our instructions, may use the information only to provide the service, and may not sell it.
- Regulators, auditors and courts, where the law requires it.
Tax information is treated separately and more strictly. Federal law (Internal Revenue Code § 7216) forbids a tax preparer from using or disclosing the information in your return for any purpose other than preparing it, unless you give specific, written, signed consent beforehand. We will ask for that consent in writing, for each use, and you are free to refuse. Refusing does not affect the preparation of your return.
How we protect it
We maintain written physical, electronic and procedural safeguards, as the Gramm‑Leach‑Bliley Act requires of financial institutions. In practice:
- Documents you upload are encrypted on your own device before they leave it, and stay encrypted at rest. They are shown on screen to you and to your advisor; they are not handed out as files.
- Access is limited to the people who need it to do your work, and every time a document is opened it is recorded.
- Signing in requires two steps, not just a password.
No system is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you as California law requires.
How long we keep it
We keep client records for three years after your file closes, to meet the record-keeping and audit obligations that apply to our licences. Some records are kept longer where a specific law requires it. After that, records are destroyed securely.
Your California privacy rights
If you live in California, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we have collected about you, where we got it, why we collected it, and who we disclosed it to.
- Receive a copy of that information in a portable form.
- Correct information that is inaccurate.
- Delete information we hold, subject to the records we are legally required to keep.
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information to what is necessary to provide the service.
- Opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share your information, so there is nothing to opt out of — but the right stands, and if that ever changed we would tell you first.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights. We will not deny you service, charge you a different price, or give you a lower standard of service.
Information we hold under the Gramm‑Leach‑Bliley Act is handled under that Act's rules rather than the California Consumer Privacy Act, which is how the law divides them for financial institutions. We apply the protections above regardless.
How to exercise a right
Call (909) 684-9425, or use the contact form and tell us what you would like. We will confirm who you are before acting — usually by matching what you tell us against what is already on your file — and respond within 45 days, or tell you why we need longer.
An authorised agent may make a request for you with your written permission.
Your choices about contact
You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time, by telling us on the phone, replying STOP to a text, or using the unsubscribe link in any email. We will still contact you about a file that is open, because we have to.
Children
Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, call us and we will delete it.
Changes to this notice
If we change this notice we will post the new version here and update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will tell clients directly.
